It is really becoming laughable at this point. Democrats around the nation are brimming with confidence that they can retake at least one House of Congress this November. The Senate is ripe for a takeover, where a 6 seat gain can swing the balance of power back to the Democrats, who have been firmly implanted [...] The transformation of President Bush’s cabinet continued today as Henry M. Paulson, Goldman Sachs Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, was nominated to replace outgoing Treasury Secretary John Snow. News of his announcement was greeted with cheers and compliments from both sides of the political spectrum, a stark contrast to many of the President’s other selections [...] It really amazes me that 4.5 years after we witnessed the worst domestic attack in our nation’s history, individuals are still able to penetrate the DC police force surrounding the Capitol complex at will with a concealed weapon and open fire. To that end, they are urging Connecticut voters to back the momentum gaining candidacy of Ned Lamont, someone who claims to know where the Democratic Party’s bread is buttered. Apparently, the message from the left is compromise = defeat.
