Rudy Giuliani maintains that Sarah Palin is ready to lead the nation partly because she has managed a city…In an interview Wednesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Giuliani was asked, “If she were the president on 9/11, you would have been confident?”

Giuliani responded: “I’d be confident that she’d be able to handle it. She’s been a governor of a state, she’s been mayor of a city.”

According to Giuliani, tens of thousands of mayors in this country, regardless of the size of the towns they oversee, are qualified to be president (which by extension makes United States Senator Obama one of the most qualified people in the nation).

The son of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is suing Duke University, claiming his golf coach manufactured accusations against him to justify kicking him off the team to whittle the squad.

Andrew Giuliani, a 22-year-old who will be a senior this fall, contends he had dreams of becoming a professional golfer and was dismissed without cause from the golf team in February without a chance to defend himself. He said in a statement Thursday that he sued “to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else at Duke.”

Awww…did Rudy’s little boy get cut from the golf team? The same poor little brat that couldn’t control himself during his father’s inauguration speech and made a fool of himself in front of the whole world still hasn’t grown up.

A chance to defend yourself, are you kidding me? Where exactly in the U.S. Constitution does it guarantee all Americans have the right to play golf for their college? There is no procedural due process in college athletics. A coach can cut any player from any team for any reason (except for blatant discrimination, of course), including the son of politicians. Let’s see how long before Daddy gets involved and saves little Andy from himself.

Giuliani’s best finish was a tie for 36th at the Fighting Illini Invitational in Olympia Fields, Ill. His season competition average was 74.5, good for 12th best on the team.

1.) Rudy’s ridiculous strategy of completely ignoring Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina predictably backfired. Now the Mayor will endorse Senator McCain in an attempt to freeze out the hard-to-like Romney. Today’s photo-op at the Reagan Library may propel Giuliani to a seat in McCain’s cabinet (Homeland Security Secretary?).

2.) Mike Huckabee’s victory in Iowa appears to be a fluke, once again raising questions about why the first caucuses were so overcovered by the mainstream media.

3.) John Edwards has a great message but is not the best messenger, especially in light of the superior oratorical skills of Obama. He may have a promising future as attorney general or Supreme Court justice in the next Democratic administration.

4.) The Florida Democratic Party (among other state parties) has no regard for equity, justice or the right of its members to participate in the candidate nominating process. The rules that punish the voters because the state party leadership yearns to be a more active participant in the national picture is draconian and should be revisited. Is there anything more un-American than disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of voters for actions beyond their control?

5.) Seven years after the infamous ballot counting nightmare, it is inexcusable that areas in the Sunshine State (particularly Putnam County) still experience technical problems with the voting process. Whatever happened to the election reform we were all promised?

About a dozen senior campaign staffers for Rudy Giuliani are foregoing their January paychecks, aides said Friday, a sign of possible money trouble for the Republican presidential candidate.

“We have enough money, but we could always use more money,” contended Mike DuHaime, Giuliani’s campaign manager and one of those who now is working for free. “We want to make sure we have enough to win.”
