Didn’t McCain Support Bush-Cheney in 2004?

“There’s a clear division between those who have a military background and experience in these issues and people like Giuliani, Romney and Thompson who don’t — who chose to do other things when this nation was fighting its wars.”

- John McCain

  1. One Response to “Didn’t McCain Support Bush-Cheney in 2004?”

  2. I find this comment offensive not only for the sake of the 50,000 who likely died needlessly, not to mention the thousands of wounded, in many ways forever, as well as the likes of McCain who were held prisoner.

History has told the tale of how we evolved into finding ourselves in that mess over in Indochina, and WHY THERE WAS NO DECLARATION OF WAR IN THAT THEATRE. I have no argument with McCain if he felt that his service and his sacrifice was justified. I give that great respect and honor him for that.

But to decry Giuliani, who had a different calling, which ultimately led him, in his own time, to the service he gave to his city and his nation, is reprehensible.
