For almost his entire political career, and with the considerable help of a complicit and fawning press, John McCain has painted himself as a man of extraordinary courage, with a highly-developed sense of honor.
But the exigencies of this presidential race have exposed McCain as a man who will not hesitate to put his own ambition above everything else – even his country. A man who is willing to sacrifice his honor and integrity by distorting the truth, lying about his opponent and approving campaign messages that are demonstrably false.
I’ve always disagreed strongly with his political philosophy; now I’m disgusted by his character.
John McCain, Palin and his wife have really showed who they really are. Angry, bitter old people who have nothing but there own self interest. McCain reminds me of Saul throwing spears at David in the bible who had become bitter and jealous at this young guy who would replace him as king. They look desperate and attacking Obama is all they have left. Very sad that someone who says he is all about serving america is nothing but a self-serving hypocrite.
