“I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration?â€
How can the first female on a national GOP ticket be the status quo? Earth to Sarah Palin – your fifteen minutes are up.
The Wasilla Hillbilly may not know her geography or the Constitution, but give her credit for getting this right:
The election was as much a vote AGAINST the Bush administration and Republican policies as it was a vote FOR Obama. The latter, of course, fed off the former and admittedly it’s hard to separate the two concepts.
The tie that bound them? Hope.
As for Palin: I wish I could be confident that we’ve seen the last of her, but let’s remember…hers is the party that brought us Tom DeLay…Bill Frist…Fred Thompson…Rudy Giuliani…Duncan Hunter…Ted Stevens…Larry Craig…Duke Cunningham.
They and their followers are capable of doing it again.
There must be something in the drinking water up there for them to elect her and convicted felon, Ted Stevens.
If the water doesn’t get you, then that moose chili will…you betcha!
I’d rather be standing on a glacier in Alaska at 2:00 a.m. enjoying the wild country, than in Morningside Park. NYC at the same hour.
