How many average Americans (the constituency that Palin claims to be apart of as opposed to that evil uppity elitist Barack Obama) do you know that wear $400 glasses?
It is very ironic that McCain’s campaign slogan is “Country First” considering that she is promoting products made in Japan. Maybe it isn’t so ironic after all when we remember that Republicans have espoused the benefits of outsourcing American jobs overseas for years.

What’s wrong with McCain’s “Country First” hypocrisy is not that Sarah Palin is promoting products made in Japan.
What’s wrong is McCain’s cynical selection of Palin in the first place — a clear sell-out of principle to the hard right of his party and the naming of someone who is clearly not qualified to be vice president.
“Ms. Palin may be a perfectly competent and reasonably intelligent woman (however troubling her views on evolution and global warming may be), but she is not ready to be vice president.
With most candidates for high public office, the question is whether one agrees with them on the major issues of the day.
With Ms. Palin, it’s not about agreeing or disagreeing. She doesn’t appear to understand some of the most important issues.”
People should ask McCain “Which country?” The Republican Party is more interested in placing the needs of foreign nations over this one.
With his ridiculous claim about Palin’s “readiness,” and his fumbling and backtracking on the financial crisis (the deregulator now wants to regulate!), it’s clear the wheels have come off the Straight Talk Express.
Finally, the public is seeing the real McCain.
Whether or not Palin is like the rest of us, let’s be clear about this:
The decisive issue in her nomination was not her gender, but her views on abortion.
Had she not been anti-choice, she never would have made it on the ticket. The principle objection to McCain’s favorites for the job — Lieberman and Ridge — was that they support abortion rights.
Here’s the key point: Palin — the woman who would like us to keep her daughter’s pregnancy a private matter, is running for office so she can make the pregnancies of OTHER PEOPLE’S daughters an affair of the state!
As usual with conservatives, do as they say, not as they do.
