Is This What Change Looks Like?

July 22, 2008 – 9:31 am

Senator McCain is fond of telling voters that it is he, not Senator Obama, that will be the most effective candidate to bring about change, which is interesting considering as a longtime member of the Washington establishment, that means there is something wrong with the job he has done.

When you see the picture below, does change come to mind? And didn’t Bush’s father and his former national security adviser strenuously oppose our current policy in Iraq (which has been defended so agressively by McCain)? If McCain is to win this election, it would behoove him to get on the same page with the people that support him.

  1. One Response to “Is This What Change Looks Like?”

  2. Once again, McCain tries to have it both ways.

On one hand, he claims his “years of experience” qualify him to lead.

    I don’t think so.

Those years were spent as one of the bloviators in the Senate, and not leading anything of consequence.

As Josh points out, even if we were to acknowledge that “experience,” doesn’t that mean that McCain must bear some responsibility for the various messes we’re in now?

And by the way…the picture above looks like a promotional snapshot for Mme. Tussaud’s Wax Museum.
