Let’s give Romney the benefit of the doubt and chalk that statement up to wishful thinking.
But if he really believes that the Evangelicals haven’t pushed Huckabee to the front of the pack BECAUSE of his Baptist credentials, then I don’t want Romney sitting down to negotiate with our enemies OR our friends.
Anyone that naive should be disqualified from sitting in the oval office.

You’re far too generous.
He has to have been asleep at the wheel this past quarter century not to have taken notice of the plethoric utterances of Jerry, Pat and the rest of the Moral Majority, their political agendas and their strategies for getting out their vote.
