As for Obama's legislation: He voted in favor of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act. In September 2006, Obama supported a related bill, the Secure Fence Act. Obama introduced two initiatives bearing his name: Lugar–Obama, which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, and the Coburn–Obama Transparency Act, which authorized the establishment of USAspending.gov, a web search engine on federal spending. Senator Obama, <strong>along with Senators Carper, Coburn and McCain</strong>, introduced follow-up legislation: Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008. Obama sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks. And while it's true he hasn't run an agency or a business (neither, as I'm sure you know, has McCain), Obama did run an effective primary campaign for the nomination, against a field of formidable opponents. He proved he knows how to manage campaign funds. McCain, on the other hand, ran out of money early in the primary season. and aside from proving that he could survive five years in a prison camp, he has shown nothing about being qualified to be president. In fact, his shoot from the hip, fly-boy mentality proves to me that he's the LAST person we should want in the White House. McCain has the experience and the know how to run this country, his cabinet are all home-run hitters, with extensive knowledge in their respective fields. Biden has a history of rhetoric. OBAMA AND BIDEN are not capable of running the USA. McCain has proven himself as an Airman, and as a Senator. Palin has proven she can overcome pushy special interest groups and get something done. Obama has NOT PROVEN ANYTHING other than his ability to b/s a population. He has served LESS THAN 2 years as an ACTIVE senator. of those two years, he has NOT LEAD ANYTHING. no bills, no torts, NOTHING. his voting record speaks for itself. look it up, then get an opinion.
