    No surprise here.
Terrorists taking flight training were not practicing how to land, but we never expected them to fly a plane into the Twin Towers.

The insurgency was more violent than we expected.

We never expected our humvees to be attacked with IEDs that kill and maim our troops.

Katrina was a more powerful storm than we expected.

Is there ANYTHING that this pitiful group of incompetents can get right?

It’s frightening to think of the many opportunities they have to screw up and endanger us.

And most infuriating: THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY MESSED UP ARE STILL IN THEIR JOBS!!!

Don’t forget another Condi Rice classic:

We never could have guessed that Hamas would win Palestinian democratic elections (even though they were leading in every poll weeks before).
