On Wednesday, December 10, 2008, U.S.-Iran Peace Project (USIP) Director Webster Brooks will participate as a guest panelist in “Predicting Obama”; a public policy forum hosted by BlackPolicy.org to analyze President-Elect Barak Obama’s foreign policy challenges in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The forum will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the National Press Club, located 529 14th Street N.W. in Washington D.C.
The “Predicting Obama” forum will explore the domestic and foreign policy direction of the new Obama administration. Brooks, Editor of USIP’s website has penned numerous articles on Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and the Middle East. Three days after Brooks released his article “Obama and the Central Asian Crisis” warning that the situation in Pakistan and Afghanistan had taken a grave turn and must be moved to the top of Obama’s foreign policy agenda; terrorists stuck with lethal force in Mumbai, India. Brooks also predicted the extraordinary upheaval in Pakistan would take down General Musharraf.. His articles have been posted in Middle East newspapers and websites from Eurasia to Lebanon.
The forum hosted by the think tank BlackPolicy.org will also feature guest panelists Colorado State Senate President, Peter Groff, University of Maryland Professor of Government and Politics, Ronald Walters and Charles Ellison, Host of the Groff-Ellison Report that is aired weekly on POTUS and SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
